Resolution Recap: March, sweet temptation and tax season is over!!

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!
Is that an obnoxious introduction? Sawwry.
As you know, today is April 15th, aka the light at the end of the terrible tax season tunnel! Hallelujah! Imagine me ordering lots of alcoholic beverages tonight at happy hour and praying I wake up in time for my much needed hair appointment in the morning. At our happy hour tonight we are playing Whirlyball....unlimited alcohol + Whirlyball = I'll let you know how that turns out.
My weekend was consumed by work. Oh, and Chris's birthday was Saturday, but I was drowned in tax returns, so we sorta celebrated Friday night. Yup, there's that weekend recap.
In honor of me working my little tail off, I have time to actually draft this post. I won't get too carried away and aim for multiple draftage, but writing a normal post is a breath of fresh air.
To start off the "Sarah's back to normal life" posting, I figure I would document how my resolution is going.
I won't go into the didn't-have-time-to-shop jazz, but I really didn't. That doesn't mean I didn't go into the mall. Do you remember when I had that allergic reaction? Even though I found out I am highly allergic to flax seed, I still think the real cause of the outbreak was not buying anything at Nordstrom.
Temptation has been there. Norstrom's was a killer (obviously), but so was TJ Maxx when I went in there for house stuff. Allll the cute spring and summer items have been coming out lately.
So far, all I am really, really wanting are some new brown wedges. I only have one pair that I got on sale about seven years ago for $5 at Target. Like I reallllyyyyy want some new ones.
Question: is it weird to ask Chris for tennis shoes and wedges for our anniversary? I know the traditional gift is a paper gift, but unless he surprises me with tickets of some-sort to a tropical paradise, I don't think anyone dreams of getting paper for their anniversary. Plus, I if he did surprise me (hint, hint Christopher) I would need those wedges for a hot date, and the tennis shoes to run on the beach, right?!
A couple last things to note. Due to my lack of sleep for the past month, I forgot to take pictures of my outfits everyday. Oops. Also, I still haven't repeated a blouse!! The sixth blouse down I wore once before for a couple hours to a comedy show, but that is it! I am almost to the end. I can really tell what blouses are my favorite and which ones I need to get rid of.

I am so ready for spring to be here and stay. I am hesitant to break out my sandals because Texas weather is so bi-polar.

Last week we had a high of 80 one day and a high of 55 the next. Crazy stuff.

Happy Monday everyone!

So happy to be back to my normal ol' self!

And thanks to all those sweets who volunteered to guest post! You're the best!

  6. Not a thing wrong asking for shoes for your anniversary, it gives him an idea just in case he has no clue what to get. I ask for stuff like that all the time because then he picked it out :)
