Okay, I admit that it took me some time to warm up to this trend, but after putting on this top from Tobi, I'm sold! I wore this to dinner one night on our vacation and it was perfect for a beachy location. And, the back! Guys, the back is so cute! I honestly didn't even realized the back crossed until I started putting it on and couldn't figure out how to properly get it over my head :)

Now all these pictures have me wanting to be back in Florida...on a beach...reading a book...

A girl can dream, right??

Date Night Florida Style + Link Up

When Chris surprised me with a trip to Florida for our 5th anniversary, he gave me TWO hours to pack. He said that everyone at work warned him that a girl needed more time than that, but he assured them I'd be fine. And, I was! I'm actually really easy-going when it comes to packing because I know you can always buy stuff when you get there, if you happen to forget something important. 

Anyways, I had just got this dress (under $50!!) from Tobi and knew it would be perfect for Florida! We had dinner by the water on our anniversary and this dress was just enough beachy, classy, and sexy all in one. (And, yes, I am that red on my stomach. I burnt to a crisp while visiting my parents last week!)

Y'all know I love my loose and flowy clothes, so this dress was right up my alley. I'm always skeptical about ordering clothes online, but the quality of this dress is really great! The bottom portion is lined, so there was no peek-a-boo, and I made the top more mom-friendly by wearing a little lace bandeau bra.

Family Pictures + Link Up

I am not very sentimental (didn't even throw G a first birthday party!), but one thing I did want for Graham's birthday were family pictures. We had newborn pictures of him, but none as a family, so it was time.

I love how these turned out and will cherish them forever!

Side note: Chris and I always joked about having a blonde kid and how funny it would look since both of us are very dark headed. These pictures made it very evident how we definitely have a blonde baby!

WIWW: Olive Dress + Link Up

This is a glorified nightgown and I'm not even ashamed about it. Only being (almost!) 5'3", I've never worn dresses that hit me mid-calf...until I tried this one on!

It does come with a tie around the waist, but I'm not a fan of belting my dresses because, again, I have no torso and I'm 5'3".

The lace detail on this dress is a touch that I normally wouldn't be drawn towards, but I love it. I wore this out to a graduation party Saturday night and got so many compliments!

I guess everyone is a fan of nightgowns :)

WIWW: Gingham Top + Link Up

I'm admittedly not a summer person. Give me layers and cozy food and I'm set. Sweating and the 100+ degrees Texas temperatures? Not my thing. But, I must say that this year, I'm ready.

I'm ready to see G baby in a swimsuit. I'm ready to take him to the pool. I'm ready to let him indulge in snow cones and stay up past his bedtime. I'm ready. 

And this outfit makes me even more ready. You can't go wrong with gingham. It is classic, can be dressed up or down, and has a way about it that makes me wish I was in the Hamptons. A girl can dream, right?

WIWW: Spring Booties + Link Up

Let's just totally skip over the fact that I'm wearing my favorite white jeans (again) and skip to my new booties...that I'm obsessed with. 

I wanted cut-out booties all winter, but didn't feel like I needed them. Fast forward to them being on sale (over $100 off!!!) and I couldn't resist! And, they are so comfy. I wore them all day Saturday and my feet never hurt, nor did I get one blister. Texas can't make up its mind if it wants to be hot or cool, so I am going to try squeeze in a couple more wears before I have to pack them away for summer. 

The number of these peplum tops I have is getting out of control. I own them almost in every color and I'm not even ashamed. You can see me in the striped version here and the maroon version here. 

Lastly, I have to mention my beautiful new ring. I got it a few weeks ago at Flea Style from the vendor set up behind my booth. I wanted all her jewelry, but I knew I couldn't walk away without this ring! Go check them out!
