Weekend Recap: Thanksgiving Round 1

vest // top

Since most of Chris's family is from out of town, and everyone gets pulled in a million different directions during the holidays, we have decided to start doing Thanksgiving a couple weeks early to ensure that everyone can make it.

This girl isn't complaining. It is like we get two Thanksgivings every year! Holla!

Even though Chris's parents only live 45 minutes away, we packed up Friday night and headed over there for the weekend. We played cards and watched movies and ate until we couldn't eat anymore. Wrigley and Bailey got loved on and we got to spend quality time with family that we don't get to see very often.

It was just the type of weekend I needed and I'm ready to do it again in two weeks with my family!

Do you get two Thanksgivings? It is the best!

  1. Two Thanksgiving would be awesome! It sounds like you had a great weekend, makes me even more excited for Thanksgiving!

  2. I love having more than one Thanksgiving! We end up having about 3! Love your vest!! :)

  3. Yes, we get 2 Thanksgivings & love it!! We go to Graham for Wed/Thursday with Matt's family & then take off early Friday morning for CC for Thanksgiving with my family on Friday evening or Saturday afternoon! It's crazy & hectic but, we love it!!

  4. We have to do the same with our families because both mine and my husbands each live 4 hours away in opposite directions. Looks like yours was great, and the dogs enjoyed it! Love both of your vests!

  5. Two Thanksgivings sounds great! It's always great to get together.

  8. How fun, and so smart! I think we might have to do that for Christmas as my bro/sis-in-laws love to go away for Christmas. Such good pictures, looks like you guys had a great time. :)

  9. I wish my family or my in-laws would do Thanksgiving early...we end up going to THREE Thanksgivings on Thankgiving Day. It's overwhelming and exhausting and I don't feel like we get to enjoy it because we are in and out so quick. Never a dull moment in our family :)
