Birthdays and Bucket-lists

Monday, August 3, 2015

Sweet summertime is wrapping up and I'm headed to a three day training this week. As much as I've loved summer, I am ready to get back in the swing of things! Routines are my friend.

Last Thursday I headed down to Dallas to celebrate one of my best friend's birthday. We went to The Rustic, ate fries and banana pudding for dinner, laughed and laughed, and had such a fun night. Another thing to note: Desirae is going to teach at my school next year! Y'all, I'm going to get to see my best friend every singe day of the school week!! We are giddy with excitement thinking about it.

Friday evening we had our monthly supper club with our friends. Unfortunately we had to cut it short because we headed down to Houston to visit Chris's college roommate and go to an Astro's baseball game.

Those of you who have been here awhile know how Chris and I have a bucket-list goal to see all the baseball parks in America, together. It doesn't count if we have see them without the other person. So far this is our fifth park to see together, even though we have both seen others separately.

Saturday morning the boys headed out to golf while I hit up the Nordstrom Sale and the mall. I finally got these sandals (not part of the sale!) I've been wanting and I also got this olive green utility jacket and this peplum top, that looked way cuter on than I was imagining.

We got home Sunday afternoon and vegged, ordered pizza, watched Bachelor in Paradise, and got ready for the week ahead.

Happy Monday!

  2. That's a fun goal with baseball. We have the same goal, only with hockey, and we're planning on Dallas for this upcoming season. Should be fun!

  5. I'm so glad you had such a great last few days off friend. I have been wondering if those sandals were as comfortable as people say they are. I could get two pairs for the price of the one tory burch ones I've been looking at (for 2 years now). lol YAY for marking another baseball park off your list.
