There is nothing that makes you feel more southern and preppy than the Kentucky Derby. Chris and I were supposed to head to Houston to celebrate the race with our friends (including a stick horse race around the cul-de-sac), but someone (cough, cough Chris) forgot that he actually has to leave town this weekend for work, so I am now just dreaming of what I would wear to the party.
I had actually been planning my outfit for quite sometime and I am sad that I now don't have an excuse to buy this Lilly dress. I mean, we do have about a million weddings to attend this summer soooo....
Anyways, I love the fashion that comes along with the race and I was really looking forward to wearing an outrageous hat. Oh well, maybe next year.

Last Friday I had a date and it wasn't with my husband, but another, ehhh, man boy. And, his name is Oliver. Isn't he cute?! We hit it off right away and it was basically love at first site. I mean, can you blame me?
Okay, okay. So the truth is that I have been dying to take pictures of my friend Kat's precious little boy and I finally had time last week and I am happy to share the pictures with you! I hope it can start your Friday off in a sweet way!

As swimsuit season quickly approaches I have had my eye on some of these fun suits. One thing I am highly considering is a one piece! I have always worn two pieces, but as I get older, the one piece is more appealing than worrying about if something out of place. I am usually at a pool with kids (not in the creepy way...) and I hate having to constantly make sure all my junk is in it's trunk. You know what I mean?
I obviously love 5, 6, and 7 because I saved that style three times (and the same suit twice!). Let's just say it has been one of those weeks where my brain is at the beach yet my body is still in 5th grade.
Which one is your favorite?! I am in love with the style of 8's bottoms. I have those bottoms in three patterns and I won't ever wear a different bikini bottom!
