This may sound weird, but 99% of the clothes I've bought within the last six months have been pregnancy approved. No, I'm not pregnant, but in preparing for our future, I always think "Can I wear this when I'm pregnant?" before I buy something.
Well, that method of shopping has rubbed off on my sister in law. She bought me this precious pancho for my birthday and before she got it she sent me a picture. She was having me choose between two things and I chose the pancho because it was pregnancy approved.
Am I crazy for thinking about this long before we are even pregnant? I've always been a planner, so I consider this a trait of my Type A personality :)
Love it! You are not crazy for thinking like that... if you are going to spend money on clothes, they mgiht as well fit when you are pregnant!
ReplyDeleteThat is probably the cutest poncho i've ever seen. Normally I don't like them, but this one is nice! And no, i don't think it's weird at all buying clothes for pregnancy before you're pregnant. You know it's coming down the road and it's better to have clothes you can wear when pregnant then having to buy a whole new wardrobe once you are pregnant!
ReplyDeleteSeriously....I immediately scrolled to the bottom of your post expecting an announcement! Lol

ReplyDeleteHaha...you crack me up!! I wish I had your thought process in the past year, all the new clothes I bought were fitted so NOTHING fits me now. I'm literally squeezing into last years sweaters.....but I will seriously need to buy some pregnancy-approved things here soon bc I know 100% I won't be able to fit into my spring and summer wear! Haha. I need a whole new wardrobe for pregnancy - so what I'm saying is - you're pretty smart, my dear! :)
ReplyDeleteLike just about everyone above, I thought for sure this was an announcement! lol! I dreaded the idea of pregnancy clothes when I was pregnant. I wore all of my normal clothes for most of the pregnancy so I guess they were "pregnancy approved" without knowing it. I borrowed some pants from friends, and only purchased a few items for the summer months. So in the end....good thought! lol!
ReplyDeleteI'm with the rest of your noters, I immediately thought to myself "did I forget to tell her congrats?" No way is this wrong to be thinking ahead - however hopefully you still like it when the time comes to wear it more :)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! This is so adorable on you! I'm a future thinker/planner too so I totally understand your thought process ;)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this poncho! Aside from the planning, oversized clothing is just so comfy! xo Andrea

Ok, so confession here. I read this when you first posted it to insta, and I immediately ran here to check on what the preggo thing was about thinking I'd find out you were, but no. lol. I did laugh out loud, literally. But couldn't comment right then because doing so via my phone is always so weird, so I have to wait to get to a laptop. Anyway, good one. Plus, I love that pancho!
