I wish...

Monday, October 14, 2013

I wish there were more hours in a day. I have a lot of crap very important things I need to get done and no time to do it!

I wish I didn't just ruin my freshly painted nails.

I wish I had a personal trainer and a chef.

I wish, sometimes, I had a baby. Then, when I sleep in on the weekends, I remember why I don't.

I wish I could sing like the people on The Voice. I try, but Chris is very, very honest with me.

I wish I had perfect vision.

I wish I had a better idea for a post, but that goes back to my first wish.

I wish my family lived closer. On the other hand, they are a safe distance away.

I wish I knew an answer to all my student's questions.

I wish money didn't exist and we didn't have to work to 'live'.

I wish upon shooting stars.

I wish I didn't have random pimples.

I wish girls didn't have to be the ones who have to do their hair and makeup.

I wish to one day meet someone famous. On the top of my list is probably someone off the Real Housewives. Standards people, standards.

I wish one of my friends was on the Bachelor or Bachelorette so I could get the inside scoop.

I wish my husband could feel what it is like to go through one week of being on your period. He would die.

What do you wish for?

Happy Tuesday!

Currently...

Thursday, October 10, 2013

Currently, you are reading this and currently I am not writing this, but isn't everything in blog-land a bit delayed?

Let's rewind to last night...

Chris and I just watched X Factor. Alex and Sierra - amazing. Seriously. If I could sing, I would want to sing like her. If Chris could sing, I would want him to sing like him. Watch their first audition here.

Glee, wow. I am not an avid Glee watcher, but I had to watch last night's episode honoring "Finn," Cory Monteith. The cast did an incredible job holding it together. I could not even imagine filming an episode like this. On a lighter note, the cast is looking old.

All this TV watching wouldn't be complete without chicken spaghetti and strawberries with Cool Whip!

Remember that huge bone Chris bought Wrigley a couple weeks ago? It is a couple chewin's from being g-o-n-e. At the moment the pups are tag teaming the last knuckle of it.

Currently I am writing this blog and reading articles on clean eating....good thing my chicken spaghetti is made with the nation's finest artificial cheese, cheapest noodles, and most delicious cream of mushroom condensed soup. All I can do is go up from here. Two claps for me.

Moving on to weekend plans. If the rain holds off we are headed to the State Fair of Texas. Looks like my clean eating will really hit its peak. Texas/OU is also this weekend! Saturday we are meeting up with Amber and Jordan!

Sunday will probably be full of prepping for next weeks lessons, naps, and football.

Happy Friday!

An anonymous letter to my Facebook friends

Friday, September 27, 2013

The purpose of Jenni's link up today was to be as snarky as can be...in a funny way so please, don't get your panties in a wad about this post. It's only a blog post, people!

Dear friends of Facebook,

No one wants to hear about your relationship and how you breakup and get back together every five minutes, okay? Your private life should stay private, unless you are in a solid relationship. Oh, I forgot, you've been dating a week and you "love" each other and refer to one another as husband and wife. My bad, my bad. I seem to have been taught that true love was something different. I apologize. And for those of you who think people actually care about you and your rotating door of significant others...we don't. We just use your drama to make up for the drama we lack in our lives. It is quite entertaining if I do say so myself.

Posting a selfie and captioning it with anything but "picture of my self" makes no sense. "Work", "Happy", or "Doin' work" is not a sufficient caption for a picture of yourself, or a picture of your face. No work is happening in that picture other than touching a button, and your "Happy" face looks just like your "Pissed face" and your "It's the weekend" face. Am I guilty of posting a selfie? Yes. Do I post them everyday? No. I will go out on a limb and say that I have posted four, maybe five selfies, yet all of them had a focus of something other than me and my caption was not "Kissy face" or "xoxo, me". It was more like "burnt my forehead with a *&%$#*@ curling iron" or "look at this headband". Other than the hundreds of "selfies" I post for my blog (to which I consider a hobby/side job) I am not a proponent of selfies. All I'm saying is no one cares.

Hey everyone! Guess what!? No one wants to see the 2,356 things you pinned on  Pinterest or the 145 pictures you liked on Instagram! As a matter of fact, we don't care about what you're listening to on Pandora, or the fake ad you liked claiming to give your free tickets to something. We don't want to know what articles you read about politics. I try to block these from my newsfeed all. the. time. but I always manage to miss someone.

You know what else we don't care about? What you're doing allll dayyyy longgggg. I know, this may sound shocking, but some people can't sit on Facebook and Tweeter all day and let the world know that at this moment they are eating a donut and two seconds later you are washing it down with a refreshing sip of Coke. I barley have time to eat a donut, so I have no idea how these people work and post on Facebook all day long.

As for friend requests. No, I'm not going to accept you after I purposefully deleted you. I am also not going to accept your request if I don't know you! Or talk to you! Or think I will ever see you again in my life!

Parents. Geezzz. Where to even begin. Act your age. Stay out of your child's gossip. Definitely don't post selfies! And please, please don't air your baby momma drama, or tell us how your baby daddy be caddy. There is nothing worse than talking about your divorce, or unpaid child support, or your crazy ex-husband. And limit the comment on your child's drunken pictures. The fact that your see your underage child hammered at a party and you 'like' it speaks volumes about your ability to actually parent.

And lastly, friends, please go through your friend list and if you don't recognize me, or my name, within two seconds, please hit delete. That will save me a lot of time that I don't have.

Sarah Tucker

Rando #4
My neck hurts more than anything else on my body because of the Jog'r Egg Nog'r. Some people I work with told me it was because of the impact of running and keeping my head up. Ow-to-the-freaking-chhhh! I have been sleeping an a heating pad for three days now and I still can't turn left or right. No bueno. I know I shouldn't complain, but it is for-rizzle hurting!

Rando #5
I am cherishing these passed couple days of waking up with Chris still in bed. He has M-W off this week. Normally I wake up - ehhh barley open one eye and somehow sound the words "I love you. Have a great day. Don't forget your lunch!" - so waking up with him in the mornings and being able to have him here while I get ready for work is something I reallyyyy like. Morning times with your love are the sweetest. I love peeking in the bed and seeing him gape-mouthed without a care in the world. Ohhh, sweet sleeping husband.

Rando #6

Five Random Things...

Monday, December 3, 2012

I have to put chapstick on before I go to sleep. I seriously cannot fall asleep unless my lips are coated. I prefer Burt’s Bees, but anything would do at that point.

My top braces got ripped off by a blanket the summer before my freshman year of high school. The ortho decided to not put them back on and instead correct them with a retainer for the final months. Now, my teeth don’t line up perfectly, but I have a funny story to tell!

I have always been claustrophobic, but as I have gotten older it has gotten extremely worse. Case in point: the other day Chris and I were driving down the highway and I saw three people in the back seat of an extended cab truck (ya know the truck that has a back seat, but only two real doors?). I started to breathe heavy and explained to Chris that I was having anxiety thinking about how those people would escape if something happened. Terrible, right? I won’t even mention when I started crying at the Eric Church concert. I was claustrophobic because we were in the very middle of the row and I didn’t have easy access to the edge. Whewwww…I’m getting anxious just thinking about this! Moving on!

I really want another dog, but Chris and I don’t think it is fair to Wrigley and Bailey. They need all our attention right now. And by the looks of our backyard, another dog might aide in the attempt at digging to China!

I would live in NYC in a heartbeat. By far my favorite city. The constant hustle and bustle is such a rush and anything you want to do is at your fingertips. Chris on the other hand would not be caught dead taking an elevator to his “house” and sharing a bus with thousands of other people that have “germs.” Yes, he is the person who carries around hand-san all. the. time. Me, well I live by the 5 second rule…but depending on the food, 10 seconds is always debatable.

Now y'all probably think I am a weirdo. Go ahead, unfollow me. I'll hide my eyes and pretend to not see ;)
