San Francisco Recommendations
In a little less than a month Chris and I are headed to lovely California for a week long vacation. While we are there, I want to enjoy all the city has to offer, but I also want to hit up a lot of local spots as well. I love going to the tourist spots, but I love eating at the local restaurants where the lines are not a mile long. This girl loves to eat, but she does not want to wait for her food!
We are spending a day in Napa and plan on visiting Alcatraz also. So please, any suggestions are welcome!
I would love to go here - its on my list of places! You'll have so much fun!

We are going to SF this year too, except it'll be in the fall! I'm excited to see where you go so we can go too!! Check out http://www.welltraveledwife.com/ she LIVES in SF and has so many lists of restaurants and tourist things to do, I've spent hours scouring her blog! Have fun!!
ReplyDeleteWHAT?! You're coming to CALI?! Hahaha....I'm so excited for our day...I think I'm just going to wrap around you like a backpack and make you take me home with you lol Oh, and Pier 39 is a must the day you do Alcatraz (plus, it's in the same area) They have the best clam chowder in a bread bowl. And the seals dock there and sun bathe..hundreds of them.
ReplyDeleteYou're going to have a blast. We do day trips to the city sometimes since we lived only a couple hours away but I still don't know the area very well. You should read Gal Meets Glam's post about SanFran!

Is it you first trip? I love SF. Hated it the first time I visited but love it now lol. You gotta go to this place in Chinatown where they make fortune cookies. Great gift to bring back to people. I can give you info if you're interested. Also, I know it sounds cheesy but I love doing bus tours. You seriously get to see all of the major sightseeing places and there's always Groupon/sightseeing deals.
ReplyDeleteI just went to San Francisco for the first time with my husband a few weeks ago! It was so beautiful! We found a lot of amazing tips on Emi's blog, The Well Traveled Wife. She and her husband live in San Francisco and she has amazing recommendations! :) Have fun!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great place to visit! I might be going there for work in July for a Napa to Sonoma Half Marathon...so I'll totally plan to piggy back off people's suggestions here lol.
ReplyDeleteThe farmers market at the Ferry building (although now I don't remember if it's Sat. or Sun., but they have an easy to find website) is my favorite place to start the day in SF!
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed after reading this article. This is very helpful for me.
