Mixed Emotions

I chose this picture because yesterday was my Meme's birthday. I am sure she celebrated up in heaven with lots and lots of Lady Finger cake! I miss you every time I look at my ring (daily) Meme!

1. Open house was last night at school and it made me love my job even more. Getting to interact with the kids is a dream for me, and knowing that their parents are proud of them makes my heart burst. One parent told me last night, "In years past, he has loved school, but you make this year different for him. Something is different and he always wants to be at school!" And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why this job is so humbling/rewarding/life changing...and that is why I love it.
2. Nope, we are not closing on our house today. 'Nuff said. Nothing is falling through, it is just taking for-ev-errrrrr for the people buying our house to get their stuff together. No more needs to be said because then I get "all worked up" as Chris says. No comment on that either...
3. Chris said he has a surprise planned for Saturday. I am anxious to see what it is! After all, anything is better than sitting in a house full of boxes without TV waiting for the call on when you can close on your new house.
4. Spring to the freaking break. 3:00pm can't come soon enough. I love my babies, but Mrs. T needs a mental break!
5. Shopping. That is on my to-do list for this weekend for the first time on over a YEAR. We have about $80 in Banana Republic rewards that need to be spent and I know just the person who can make that happen! I guess I would still be holding true to last year's resolution since I technically wouldn't be spending any money...!
