WIWW: I need your help + Link Up

Once again I'm here for the umpteenth week in a row with no pictures. I blame the rain (pouring rain!)! The one time over break I dressed up enough to take pictures it was 38 degrees and monsooning. #nothanks

More importantly, I am really getting to the point where the only pants/leggings I feel comfortable in are the full-panel ones. Anything else feels so uncomfortable on my belly!

So, my question is: What are your favorite maternity boutiques and shops?

I am not looking to spend a fortune here, but I have just about worn a hole in my favorite leggings and black skinny jeans. Yes, I've only been wearing two pairs pants for weeks now. Judge away.

On Friday I ordered a couple pairs of leggings and a pair of blue jeans from Pink Blush boutique, but I haven't received them yet, so the verdict is still out!

For the most part, most of my pre-pregnancy tops are still fitting. I am pretty short and have a really short torso, so I am getting away with buying a size up in shirts. Or, I've been buying "tall" versions of the shirts I like. Old Navy has tons of stretchy, comfy shirts online that are sold in "tall." I got this cute top on Black Friday and I still have some room to grow before it gets too tight.

Other random Black Friday finds:
- these black booties
- this comfy dress
- the perfect, cheap black purse for special occasions
- a cardigan long enough to cover my booty

Any maternity recommendations y'all have are welcome!

Happy Wednesday!

  2. I got away with very few maternity clothes when pregnant but I bought 2 pairs of maternity pants at Kohls and a pair of maternity pants and maternity jeans at Target and I was happy with my choices. I love your new plaid tunic. Good luck shopping, Sarah.

  3. When I was pregnant I had the hardest time finding clothes at first. I found some decent staples at Ross (they have a maternity section!) like tank tops, tees, and one pair of jeans. Then, I found Destination Maternity/Motherhood Maternity and it was life changing! If you haven't shopped there, I highly, highly recommend it!!

    1. I was going to stop in the other day, but the preggo in me didn't feel like trying on any clothes, or shopping at all! I'm hoping to go over my Christmas break!

  4. I sewed all my maternity clothes when I was pregnant because I couldn't stomach paying the high prices for maternity clothes and I also didn't like the styles they had back then.

  5. Jcrew has great maternity pants. They're pricey but considering how often you wear them and if you plan on having more kids the cost per wear comes down pretty quickly. I also wore a lot of gap tops. You can always find things on sale there too.

  6. My fave maternity pants were Gap or Old Navy. I truly loved the big old full panel, too. You'll appreciate it near the end!

  8. I am 5 weeks or less away from meeting our new little man. For my first pregnancy I got most of my maternity clothes at Target, Gap and Old Navy. This time around I needed a few more cold weather clothes (my daughter was born in early September so I wore a lot of maxi dresses) and found a pair of jeans and a pair of leggings that I absolutely LOVE from Loft. They only have maternity clothes online, but they've got some good options. I also got a couple of long sleeved Ts and a sweater tunic from Gap this time around and love them. My Ts are worn weekly and can be changed up by throwing cardigans or vests over top and accessorizing with different scarves or necklaces. I've found that having a few good staples helps. And spending the money on good pants is totally worth it when you wear them constantly for 4-5 months per pregnancy. Good luck!

  9. I've never been pregnant but friends swear on Target's clothes and Old Navy. I will admit Target has cute items, I've said before when there that I like something and find out its in the maternity section...oops!

  10. My best advice is to buy stuff, even if you think you don't need it at the moment. I'm at 34 weeks and had to shell out for a couple of things because my normal stretchy clothes that I just KNEW would last the entire time just aren't cutting it anymore. I wish I would have bought maternity stuff earlier so I could have gotten more wear out of it!

  12. target, old navy, gap maternity.... that's where I got my tights and jeans.
as for tops, after my 4th kid I finally learned not to spend $30 on a maternity tee... I bought 1-2 sizes up on "regular clothes". I wore empire waist tops and dresses too to help with the growing bump.

    1. I'm really short, so most "tall" tops have been working for me! I'm trying, like you, to not only buy maternity!

  13. I really liked getting stuff from Kohl's when I was pregnant, and I really just invested in a few good bottom options and then got a bunch of cheaper tops. It stinks having to buy a whole new wardrobe for just a few months! I feel ya!

  14. I am making it through my first pregnancy with nice work pants and leggings from GAP and Motherhood Maternity. They have been awesome for me - I am tall with a long torso, so hopefully that helps give you some perspective. M fit me well at 5'9. As for tops, I live in cardigans and the tshirts from GAP. I also got some REALLY cute tops from Stitch Fix, some of which are not maternity but totally work. I am 3 weeks away from giving birth and still wear some nonmaternity tops. Good luck and only invest money in clothes that you can wear the second time. Sometimes it is worth spending a bit more money for it to last!

    1. The Gap leggings are my favorite! Luckily at school we never have to wear work pants, so I am getting by with leggings and sweaters or cardigans! I'm hoping to continue to wear my non-maternity tops as long as possible!!
