WIWW: Shift Dress + Link Up

As you might have noticed (or not, most likely!) that I have been slightly absent here and there these last couple weeks. I blame this on the hectic season that is called the end of the school year. Almost every night we have something going on at school and the teachers look like crazies running every which way trying to get stuff done by Friday. 2.5 days, people! We can do it!

I wore this adorable shift dress to church on Sunday because it is officially too hot in Texas for pants. Unless your're a guy and you have to wear pants to church because shorts and skirts aren't an option. Hey, we birth children, have to do our hair and put make-up on, and have a horrid week every month. Ya'll can suck it up and wear pants in the blazing Texas heat every now and then.

In other random news, we officially sold Chris's old Tahoe last night and it was sad for all of 2.5 seconds until we realized we have cash in our pockets and one less car in our driveway! Chris was sad and I told him we could trade his new truck back in and he could keep his Tahoe, but he said he will keep the truck :)

We leave for San Francisco in a week and I couldn't be more excited!

I have ate pizza four out of the last five days and last night we had Taco Bell and it was just as delicious as it sounds.

The wobble dance makes my kids as happy as a pig in you know what. Yesterday was their 5th grade dance and the DJ played the wobble and instantly all the kids lined up and started dancing to the song. One little girl turned to me and said, "Mrs. Tucker, how come when the wobble comes on everyone lines up perfectly, but when you teachers ask us to line up, we don't." Great question girlfriend! And when you figure out the answer, let me know!

And because I had to 'check my lighting' again, you are graced with another picture of the person who makes the me happiest for no reason other than he is the most kind and gentleman-like husband I could have ever asked for. Next week we celebrate two blissful years of marriage, so prepare for an overload of random wedding things!

PS: Shoes are Gap, so go to gap.com if you want them and the dress you can't have because, well, I bought it at some pop up shop at a lavender festival in my hometown.

  11. One of my 5th graders made a comment like the one yours made and the answer we got from another student was because in 6th grade there are no lines and teachers telling them what to do so why would they listen now? Needless to say it got their attention!
