House Tour: Living Room {Progress}

***Edit: June 9, 2017. Thanks to everyone visiting from Pinterest! Listed below are the sources for anything I could find. This space has come a long way since I took these pictures, but that gallery wall still remains my favorite part! See an updated version of this space here! Thanks for stopping by!

Frames - IKEA
All decor on sofa table - Homegoods/TJ Maxx
Couch and Sofa Table - Ashley Furniture
Rug - Home Depot
Throw Pillows - Homegoods

Updated picture:

One of the big things Chris and I loved about this house was the bonus room/man cave. It is a perfect room to watch movies in, so naturally we needed a sectional for that room. Well, either we were drunk still sleeping or left the house without our thinking caps because somehow we measured wayyy wrong and the sectional we ordered for the man cave room is about 3 feet too long. Oops!

It has totally been a blessing in disguise, though, because now it is in the "woman cave" aka the living room, and we love it in there so much more!

Sorry for the mess...just keeping it real!

Did I mention the sectional is HUGE?! It is so big. Chris and I were dying laughing when they delivered it because we didn't remember it being that big. I will say that this configuration we ordered is slightly different than what was in the showroom, so that's my excuse for our lack of measuring skillzz.

And can I point out my other favorite addition to the living room? I am totally smitten with our new sofa table. I am also in love with the pictures and accessories...that still have all the tags on. I had to live with it for a few days to see if I liked what I bought. Verdict? I love it!

Everything on the sofa table is from HomeGoods and the white frames are from Ikea. The couch and sofa table are from Ashley Furniture. Our old leather couch is now in the man cave!

So what do you think?! I am thinking about switching out the curtains and really making this room more girly...since Chris has his own man room and all :)

Happy Tuesday!

  7. We have the same couch! I recognize the pillows that came with it, haha! I love it, too, but we got a smaller configuration and it's still huge! I also went with the same unfinished wood accents so I am loving how your living room is coming together!

  13. OH I love me a big sectional, we actually have one in our family room and one in our "man cave" too. Just couldn't stop at buying just 1! Love all the pictures and the sofa table. My husband absolutely hates chotskies, so we don't have nearly as many frames, etc as I would like!

  14. You have a gorgeous home! My husband bought a sectional when we lived in our old house and then when we sold we put all our things in storage while we house hunted. We forgot how big our sectional was and it almost didn't fit in our new house. lol. Sections are so nice and comfy but they can be difficult to work with too.

  18. Love your big cozy sectional. My parents have an ivory leather one which I love, but it is a little high-maintenance. That table with all the accessories and gorgeous white frames on the wall is my favorite part. You are a great decorator Ms. Sarah. I am proud of you.

And now I am all caught up with your lovely blog. Stop by to see what I have been up to. <3 Ada.

  26. Hello! Everything looks lovely. I have those IKEA frames and I'm having trouble finding prints to fit. Did you make new mats or order prints from a store? Thanks for your help! :)

    1. Thanks Jaimie! I had trouble finding prints as well. I went to Walgreens and got "poster prints" in 11x14. That was the cheapest thing I could find and they turned out great! I think I spent around $42 for all six prints.

    2. I found a place to print 12x12 photos. They work wonderfully in these frames! Plus, they are only $1.99 each!!! Maybe that'll be helpful info. if/when you change your photos out. :)

  28. I (like others above) am in LOVE with your sofa table! I checked the Ashley website and couldn't find anything like it - are you able to share with me the name/line it is from? Awesome décor! (PS - I also leave tags on everything til I know I am committed to it! Sadly, we recently moved to a new house and I was actually discovering tags from the OLD house that I had left on things - whoops!)

    2. The opening for the picture is 12x12 and, you can't tell in the photos, but there is a very small space above and below each photo. Does that make sense?

  40. Two more questions...sorry I'm so annoying. Would you be able to estimate how much space you have between your frames? Any idea how long the wall is? You did such an amazing job, and I want to recreate this. Thanks for being so helpful!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Don't be sorry!! There is about 5 inches between each frame. I totally estimated where I wanted the pictures based on the center of the wall when the back door is open. So the frame wall is not in the center of the wall...it is in the center of the wall space when our back door is open.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

  41. Hi, your living room looks great. I'm thinking of purchasing the Patola Park sectional as well (from Living Spaces). Is your sectional the 4 piece or 5 piece? Can you move the individual pieces around to make one side longer? Thank you in advance!

  59. Just want to share how I fixed my bad credit to an excellent credit. 2 years ago I was battling with issues of low credit, which made my life so miserable. I had a credit score of 601 (TransUnion), 580 (Equifax), 530 (Experian). I applied for an auto loan for the first time but was not approved due to my low credit score. No company agreed to employ me. There’s this special joy in my heart after I found PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST, my pastor recommending him after I explained to him about my credit situation. I contacted him explaining my credit problems. Duly he came up with a resounding proposal and guaranteed me of an EXCELLENT credit score of 811 (TransUnion), 803 (Equifax) and 815(Experian) which he did within 6 days. I got approved of my car and most especially got myself together. I strongly recommend him for your credit fix. Contact him by email: PINNACLECREDITSPECIALIST@GMAIL.COM / +1 (872) 265 2951.
