DIY Moss Letter

For as long as I know, I have wanted a moss letter, but never wanted to spend the money on one. While I was at Hobby Lobby over my vacation I finally remembered to pick up the materials to make one.

What you'll need:

- The letter you want to make all mossy
- A roll of moss ribbon. It was in the garden section
- Hot glue

I decided to use the moss ribbon instead of loose moss because I figured it would be easier to hot glue, and less messy.

I bet you can guess the rest of the instructions...cut your ribbon accordingly and hot glue on to your letter. You can't tell, but there are a lot of small pieces that I had to use to fill in gaps. I just pushed the moss together while the hot glue dried and you can't see the seams.

** Don't forget to use a coupon!

Happy DIYing!

  1. Wow, you really CAN'T see the seams at all! Awesome! I have never even seen "moss ribbon" so I would have had no idea. How are you going to display this, or where? Seeing this gave me an idea that I don't think I'd have thought of otherwise!! ;)

  4. I like the look of moss letters but, I've didn't want one because of the loose moss. Love that they have moss tape! Guess I just haven't really looked for it. Does it fall off or anything like loose moss would?

  9. This is beautiful! I didn't know they made moss ribbon! For my DIY wreath, I used the sheet moss and it falls apart so easily and is really deteriorating but I'll have to redo it with the ribbon, looks like the coverage is awesome!
