I'm a newlywed, and soon hoping to be a new mom, so blog posts like these are really helpful for developing realistic expectations about new-mommy-hood and having an infant:)Casey Caprahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17432904928684184782noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8035260473590038049.post-13209115120293033092016-06-28T11:15:51.396-05:002016-06-28T11:15:51.396-05:00Awww...such a great post...you guys are doing such...Awww...such a great post...you guys are doing such a great job as parents and I love seeing that happy, chubby cheek baby! Agree with all that you said...we left our first with my parents when he was 6 months old for a few days, it was hard, but so glad that we did it, it really helped us remember we were people before parents :)Foxy's Domestic Sidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17349449371975937570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8035260473590038049.post-10087893586363339332016-06-27T22:32:01.049-05:002016-06-27T22:32:01.049-05:00I've never commented before, and I just wanted...I've never commented before, and I just wanted to say that I really enjoy following your journey as a new mom. I'm about to be 32, and I have a 4yr old and a 9mo old. Being a mom is the most life-altering and rewarding experience, as you have learned. It is super emotionally charged, and it's hard to feel in control for sure. I think my challenge has been the ebb and flow. I'm learning to ride the waves of developmental highs and lows with my girls, with the connection between my self and my hubby, and the connection to my "old" self, too. I find my happiest times are when I have the best balance with all those aspects, but there are going to be times that it's not balanced - and that's okay too. My hubby and I's favorite joke is "that's just the stage of life we are in." Enjoy it and know the rest of us mamas are anxious, tired, more in love than ever, and questioning it all, too! Being a mom truly is the craziest....forever your life is changed and while you will feel like your old self more an more rarely will you ever do anything when thoughts of him won't cross your mind.
